Charlie Methven is co-owner of Charlton Athletic, having taken over the club in July 2023 as part of the Global Football Partners Group.
Prior to that he was also a co-owner of Sunderland AFC from May 2018 to June 2022, and worked as a consultant to Arsenal (2007-2008), Oxford United (2009-2015) and Tottenham Hotspur (2016-2018).
Educated at Eton and Oxford University, he spent the early part of his career as a journalist for the Daily Telegraph.
