Douaa YassinAssistant General Manager, Head of Investment & Venture Capital Department at MSMEDA
Yassin has a diversified banking & auditing experience over 20 years. After graduation from Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University, in 1994, Douaa Yassin started her career path in Cairo Barclays (Currently Attijariwafa bank Egypt), and from there she moved to Ernest & young, where she gained the external audit experience.
Douaa Yassin joined MSMEDA 2004 (Previously known as SFD), and in view of her experience to assist in competing MSMEDA’s Central Sector for Small Enterprise Financing MSMEDA develops various funding mechanisms and upgraded technical support systems, participated in developing various new financial mechanisms and methods.
In 2016 Mrs. Yassin was promoted as Head of the new "department investment & venture capital department", and she succeeded, to establish the new department.
Mrs. Yassin with the help of the World Bank team decided to re-visit and update its fund of funds internal policy as It was realized during piloting the program that some policy conditions need to be relaxed for a better entrepreneurial and investment environment in Egypt.
Mrs. Yassin is responsible to manage & implement Egypt’s first established $50 million fund of funds program as part of “CATALYZING ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR JOB CREATION PROJECT" which is funded by the World Bank.
