Ibrahim Sagna is an institutional platform builder and technology enthusiast with over 25 years' experience in global finance. His track record includes over USD 30 Billion of Africa related investments across natural resources, infrastructure and consumer industries. He is prolific angel investor invested in many high growth startups across Middle East, North Africa and especially Sub Saharan Africa.

Mr. Sagna currently serves as Global Head for the Advisory & Capital Markets arm of Afreximbank, an investment grade rated DFI with USD 22 Billion assets in Africa. He is a also member of the Investment Committee of the Fund for Export Development in Africa (FEDA). FEDA is the Private Equity arm of the bank. Prior to joining Afreximbank, he headed the Financial Advisory Services of another investment grade rated Pan-African DFI, the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC).

His overseas’ career includes investment professional, private equity and hedge fund management roles with North America based institutions like the IMF, Merrill Lynch, Emerging Capital Partners (ECP), IBEX Global or Europe based institutions such as Millennium Global and Blackthorn Capital. He continues to hold key governance roles with various strategic institutions, and was recently member of the board of directors of the Rwanda Capital Markets Authority (CMA) and a member of the Presidential Investment Council for the President of Senegal.

Mr. Sagna is a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO). He holds both Bachelor and Master of Finance from Boston College as well as executive management degrees from Harvard Business School, London Business School and INSEAD.
