EM Private Credit at Argentem Creek Partners

Alex serves as a portfolio manager responsible for origination, marketing and portfolio management for Argentem’s Private Credit investments. Alex has over 25 years of experience in emerging market credit across Africa, Asia, Central Eastern Europe and the Middle East spanning a wide range of industries and investment structures. Alex is fluent in Turkish and German. Prior to joining Argentem Creek in 2021, Alex co-founded and managed Frontier Credit Partners LLP, an Emerging Market focused private credit business, together with Simon Watt, which included a joint venture with Golding Capital Partners between 2018 and 2020. Prior to founding Frontier Credit Partners, Alex was a Partner at Helios Credit Partners LLP responsible for starting their private credit business. Alex also has a 15 year investment banking career at Goldman Sachs, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and West LB. He has led teams and held various positions in Emerging Market credit origination and principal finance across a wide range of secured and unsecured structured credit products. Alex began his career as an Emerging Market-focused, capital markets and financing lawyer at White & Case LLP based in New York and Istanbul. Alex has an LLM degree from Harvard Law School, and an LLB degree from the University of London.
