Beatriz Amary

Beatriz is a partner at Amadeus Capital Partners based in São Paulo, Brazil. She has joined the company in 2020 to contribute to its Latin American market activities after her 19 years’ experience investing in the region. Before joining Amadeus, Beatriz was part of the team that launched Actis’ office in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2007. She was the Director leading the investments in the Consumer, Retail, Healthcare and Education sectors in Latin America. She also headed Actis’ global efforts in the Education sector, leveraging her education expertise in Emerging Markets. Beatriz has led several investments in Brazil, including CNA (English language training company), Cruzeiro do Sul (inclass and distance learning post-secondary education provider), and Scarlat (branded cleaning product producer). She was also a member of the deal team for the investment in CSD, a food retail chain. Beatriz has served as a board member at CNA, Cruzeiro do Sul, and Scarlat. Prior to joining Actis, Beatriz was at J.P. Morgan for four years, initially in the role of M&A Analyst and then as a Private Equity Associate based in New York (focusing on Latin America) and in Brazil. After completing her MBA, Beatriz worked at Johnson & Johnson. She is a graduate of Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Brazil, and holds an MBA degree from Harvard Business School. Beatriz is Brazilian national and is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. She is currently an independent board member for Arco (NASDAQ: ARCE), the leading edtech company focused on content for K-12 schools in Brazil.
