Patrick Burtis

Pat joined Amadeus in 2006 and is a Partner focusing primarily on growth-stage technology companies in Latin America. He is based in San Francisco. He works or has worked with Creditas, Descomplica, Transmode (STO:TRMO) and Tobii (STO:TOBII), among others. In 2010-2011, Pat served as interim CEO and CFO of SaaS telematics company GreenRoad. Pat’s sector expertise includes ClimateTech, FinTech, and EdTech. He is a Kauffman Fellow (Class 11).

Pat began his career with five years in Bain & Co’s Boston office, where he advised clients in the telecoms, financial services, industrials, and technology industries. Subsequently, Pat was a professional musician for seven years, touring and releasing three CDs of original music. Concurrently, he consulted in the climate-tech, health care, and materials fields. Additional past roles include Director of Finance and Operations for H2onsite, a California-based hydrogen start-up, and Practice Area Fellow in McKinsey’s energy group, where he focused on carbon strategies for US utilities.

Pat holds a BA from Dartmouth College (USA) where he was Phi Beta Kappa, and a Masters from the Yale School of the Environment, where he focused on energy systems and climate change. Pat is an American citizen, speaks Spanish and conversational Portuguese, and has travelled extensively.
