Ruzgar Barisik has fifteen years of experience in technology VC and private equity investments across US and Global Emerging Markets.

Ruzgar co-heads IFC/World Bank’s global internet practice and leads the organization's Venture Capital investments in Europe, Middle East & North Africa. International Finance Corporation is the investment arm of the World Bank. In addition to direct investing, Ruzgar has started an LP investment program into top early-stage VC funds in emerging markets.

At IFC, Ruzgar launched Techemerge.org, a market-entry accelerator for tech companies. The program connects health technology innovators from around the world with healthcare providers in emerging markets.

 Prior to IFC, Ruzgar was a Partner at GTI Group, a New York based private investment firm. Earlier in his career, Ruzgar was Director of Corporate Development at KCI.
