Conrado co-heads the firm’s Latin America practice and is widely acknowledged as a leading lawyer advising on the continent’s landmark transactions.
Conrado acts for Latin American and international corporates and investment banks on all aspects of corporate finance, comprising mergers and acquisitions (including disposals of companies and assets), capital markets transactions (including advising issuers and underwriters on debt and equity securities placements in the U.S. and in the Euromarkets), and banking transactions (including bilateral, syndicated and structured banking facilities). In addition, Conrado has acted on several major debt restructurings and liability management exercises, notably in Argentina. He also has in-depth knowledge of the retail and energy sectors.
Earlier in his career, Conrado served as in-house counsel with S.A. Genaro García, in Buenos Aires, before joining Linklaters’ New York office in 1994. He co-led the firm’s Madrid office from 2007 to 2011 and the U.S. offices from 2011 to 2016.
