Declan O’BrienHead of Infrastructure Research and Strategy at UBS Asset Management
Declan O'Brien is Head of Infrastructure Research and Strategy and joined UBS Asset Management's business in October 2017. In this role, Declan is a voting member on all of UBS' direct infrastructure committees. He is also responsible for providing quantitative and qualitative cross-regional analysis of infrastructure investment markets to assist with portfolio allocation and to find attractive new markets and sectors for investment by UBS' funds.
Prior to joining UBS, Declan worked at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) (2015–2017), where he was responsible for LGIM’s research and strategy in the infrastructure sector. His previous roles were Assistant Vice President – Infrastructure with Moody's Investors Services in London and Madrid (2009-2015), where he where he was lead analyst for credits across the energy, transportation and telecommunications sectors; and at KBC Bank N.V. in Dublin and Sydney (2004-2008), where he structured and originated project finance transactions.
