Arash Massoudi has led the FT’s coverage of mergers and acquisitions since 2014 from London. He writes about the biggest deals, dealmakers and trends in global business, breaking news and writing features about companies such as SoftBank, JAB Holdings and 3G Capital.
Along with James Fontanell-Khan in New York, he also created and edits Due Diligence, a daily briefing on corporate finance, M&A and private equity. Available to premium FT subscribers at www.ft.com/dd, it won best newsletter at the 2019 SABEW Best in Business Awards.
He joined the FT in 2011, soon after moving to New York cover capital markets. Prior to joining the FT, he served in the US Department of Commerce as an appointee in the first Obama Administration.
Massoudi holds a BA and MA from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and the School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna, Italy and Washington DC.
