Cyrus MadonManaging Partner, CEO Private Equity at Brookfield
Cyrus Madon is a Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Business Partners and Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, which has $60 billion of AUM, 100+ investment professionals and 45,000+ operating employees globally.
Mr. Madon has been with Brookfield since 1998 and since then has held a number of senior roles across the organization. He was instrumental in the 2009 launch of Brookfield’s $4bn Real Estate Turnaround Consortium, which invested in undervalued real estate portfolios in the wake of the financial crisis, and in Brookfield’s 2010 recapitalization of General Growth Properties (GGP). As head of the private equity group, Mr. Madon leads a global team that has executed a number of large-scale acquisitions, including Westinghouse Electric Company, Johnson Controls’ automotive battery business, and Healthscope.
Mr. Madon holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University in Canada. He sits on the board of the C.D. Howe Institute.
