David Burnside

Head of UK Sales & Consultant Relations at Arcmont Asset Management

David Burnside is the Head of UK Sales and Consultant Relations at Arcmont Asset Management. Prior to joining Arcmont in 2019, David spent five years at Finisterre Capital, a hedge fund specialising in Emerging Market Debt, initially as Head of Business Development and latterly as COO, responsible for all non-investment activities. Between 2010 and 2013, David was Head of Alternatives at BlueBay Asset Management, where he oversaw strong asset-raising and product development across several alternative strategies, including the introduction of the Direct Lending team, working closely with them on the successful fundraise for Direct Lending I. Previously, David was Head of Sales and Consultant Coverage at FRM, having earlier headed Business Development in Europe for GSAM’s Hedge Fund Strategies. In 1997, David established the first Capital Introduction product at a Prime Broker, at Goldman Sachs. David worked as a lawyer at Morgan Stanley after qualifying as a solicitor at Freshfields, in London and Paris. David graduated from Cambridge University in Law in 1988.
