David Humphrey

Partner at Bain Capital Private Equity

Mr. Humphrey joined Bain Capital Private Equity in 2001. He is a Managing Director in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Vertical and Co-Head of Bain Capital’s North America Private Equity business. Mr. Humphrey works in the Boston office and focuses on investments in the information services, software and technology services sectors. He has also played a leading role in the firm’s recruiting, training and professional development efforts.

Prior to joining Bain Capital Private Equity, Mr. Humphrey was an investment banker at Lehman Brothers’ mergers & acquisitions group, where he advised companies on mergers and acquisitions across a range of industries

Mr. Humphrey received an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar and a Henry Ford II Scholar. He graduated cum laude with an AB in economics from Harvard College.
