Mark is the Chairman & CEO of Time Partners, a merchant bank in London, specialising in advising global families in areas of private equity, venture capital and corporate finance. In 1992, Mark was the co-founder of the merchant banking group Maizels Westerberg in 1992. As Governor for England, Mark led a new approach to purpose-led reporting for the BBC and was Chair of the BBC Service Review for England. Mark was a member of the Prime Ministers G8 Social Impact Investment Task Force and he was appointed by the Government to co-lead a review the Big Lottery fund in 2013 and to the board of the UK Home Office in 2018.
He is Chair, the City of London Corporation Sustainable Capital Initiative and a Trustee of the Commonwealth Education Trust. He is the author of the External Rate of Return with the London School of Economics, a method of reporting all external impacts from business, and is Visiting Senior Fellow at the LSE. Mark is a Visiting Professor at the Policy Institute, King’s College London and a Distinguished Fellow at INSEAD, lecturing on private capital markets.
