Before founding Astorius in 2012, Thomas worked at BC Partners for 13 years, nine of which as a partner. During this time, Thomas invested more than €2 billion in private equity companies and successfully led these companies to IPOs and other exits. His detailed knowledge of the success factors of private equity funds allows him an approach to analysing and reviewing fund managers that is rarely found in private equity funds of funds. Thomas also carries out individual advisory mandates for the investment activities of some large family assets.
