Zahara is the CEO and Co-Founder of Grosvenor Capital, a boutique advisory company headquartered in the UAE.
Grosvenor Capital (“GroCap”) focuses on providing clients with business strategies, capital introduction and advisory services across the GCC, Africa and beyond. Current sectors include education, healthcare, infrastructure and power with a key focus and passion around impact investing.
Prior to establishing GroCap, Zahara has established a track record of working with successful entrepreneurs and prominent figures to further build their vision across business lines from HRH the Prince of Wales to Rob Hersov. Her client list includes Royal Dignitaries, Heads of State, Ministers, UHNWI, Family Offices and Executives.
Zahara has built substantial experience of working in emerging and frontier markets and is an investment specialist working in senior positions with Access Power, Global Investment Bank, Invest Africa and Sunbird Group.
Furthermore, Zahara has worked on key philanthropy and impact campaigns with HRH The Prince of Wales, The Princes Trust and Mosaic International network. She is currently a trustee of Jaago Foundation, where she opened her first school in Chittagong, 2012. Zahara has a passion for education and developing sustainable livelihoods. Zahara formally chaired The Princes Trust Junior Associated Programme.
Zahara currently serves as Chief of Amplification for Girls Do Good, an EdTech platform that started as a AR book and formally served the on the board of Invest Africa UAE. Zahara was also a finalist for the “Rising Star” category in 2017 for the prestigious British Muslim Awards. Most recently Zahara has also contributed to Forbes Middle East and Entrepreneur Magazine for thought leadership pieces on Impact Investing.
Zahara holds a MSc in Global Governance from UCL and is a published researcher having obtained a distinction in her master’s dissertation on the global issues surrounding Water Wars and the impact of Shale Gas production across the US and China.
