Darren Foreman currently is a Director of Private Equity for the Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS) of Pennsylvania. Mr. Foreman leads a staff of 4 people whose mission is to invest in private equity funds that are differentiated and co-invest in private companies alongside their private equity managers. He serves on several Advisory Boards in U.S. and European private equity partnerships.
Before joining PSERS in November of 2002, Mr. Foreman worked for The University of Maryland Foundation as a Senior Investment Analyst. He assisted the CFO and the Finance Committee on the selection, monitoring and evaluation of domestic equity, international equity, fixed income, hedge funds and private equity partnerships.
Prior to joining The University of Maryland Foundation, Mr. Foreman worked for PSERS for six years. For over three years, he was responsible for the selection, monitoring and evaluation of domestic equity managers for the PSERS’s Development Fund. He also assisted in the evaluation of PSERS’ venture capital partnerships.
Mr. Foreman is a Chartered Alternatives Investment Analyst holder since 2006 and holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
