Raymond has more than 30 years of investment and entrepreneurial experience in the U.S. and China technology sector. Raymond moved to Silicon Valley in the late 80s and started his career as system engineer at ABB and software engineer at Centigram Communication. Raymond later became serial entrepreneur and founded two technology startups in U.S. / China that were successfully acquired or merged by industry leaders. Raymond then came back to Shanghai in 2004 and took over Linktone, where he led the company through a rapid growth phase and took the company public on NASDAQ.
After founded WestSummit Capital in 2010, Raymond has established strong investment track record, as he invested and helped build multiple $1 billion+ companies including Unity (U.NYSE), Twitch (Acquired by Amazon), Couchbase (BASE: NASDAQ), GigaDevice (603986.SH), VeriSilicon (688521.STAR), Anji (688019.STAR), and Segway-Ninebot (689009.STAR).
Raymond was the Chairman of the prestigious Tsinghua University alumni club, Tsinghua Entrepreneur & Executive Club (“TEEC”), which now has more than 700 executive members globally. Raymond is also the CoChairman of Silicon Valley’s largest Chinese entrepreneur and technology platform, Silicon Valley Innovation Entrepreneurship Forum (“SVIEF”).
