Cornell Capital LLC (together with its affiliates, “Cornell,” “Cornell Capital” or the “Firm”) is a U.S.-based private equity firm with $2.8 billion of AUM and a 25-person team operating from offices in New York and Hong Kong. The Firm was founded in 2013 by Senior Partner Henry Cornell following a nearly thirty-year career at Goldman, Sachs & Co. (“Goldman Sachs”), where he was a key senior leader in the creation and success of the Merchant Banking Division and the Goldman Sachs Capital Partners family of funds. Cornell Capital is managed by a team of seven partners with a highly complementary skillset, 100+ years of shared tenure and an average of 25 years of relevant experience.
The Firm is guided by a set of investment principles whose core tenet is a focus on investments with the potential to achieve superior, risk-adjusted investment returns through the business cycle. Cornell believes that long-term investment success is a function of strong partnership between sponsor, capital and portfolio company management, as well as an intensive and disciplined focus on each investment. Cornell Capital takes an opportunistic, value-oriented approach to investing in three core sectors: consumer, industrial/business services and financials. Cornell emphasizes investments in North American-based companies, with a particular focus on those that can benefit from the Firm’s differentiated presence, network and experience in Asia.
