Dr. Hing Wong, managing director of Walden International, head of
Walden International Semiconductor Fund, and Vice Chairman of IC
Design Branch of China Semiconductor Industry Association (CSIA). He
has been investing in China's semiconductor, intelligent hardware and
other industries for more than fifteen years. He has also successfully
invested in leading companies such as Galaxycore, Silergy, GigaDevice
and DJI, etc. and guided many technological companies to grow into
influential enterprises. Dr. Hing Wong was named Forbes China's 2017
Best Venture Capitalist and was named the Best Investor of the Year of by Hua Yuan Science and Technology Association, the most influential entrepreneurs association in Silicon Valley.
Before engaging in venture investment, Dr. Hing Wong has worked in semiconductor industry for 15 years, and he was responsible for technical research, management, and business development. He has acted as design consultant engineer in IBM Microelectronics. In 1997, he co-founded Silicon Access Network Chips in Silicon Valley with a partner and served as the vice president of VLSI and vice president of Asian business.
Dr. Hing Wong attended the Department of Physics of Sichuan University and the Department of Physics of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has successively received a Bachelor Degree of Science in Physics, a Master Degree of Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. Degree of Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
