Dr. Martin Haemmig is an Adjunct Professor at CeTIM and is a global academic network partner for GLORAD (www.glorad.org) on venture capital, incubation and hi-tech startups. He travels annually in 15 countries for 20 years to do his well-known research benchmarks on the ‘Global VC & CVC Industry’ and ‘Startups Going Global’, as well as ‘Collaboration between Startups and Global Corporates’. He is a former ‘Senior Advisor on Venture Capital’ for Stanford University – SPRIE on these global topics. Martin Haemmig was asked to setup the VC community at the World Economic Forum (WEF-Davos). He lectured and/or researched at Stanford University, UC Berkeley, INSEAD, UniBW Munich, ETH Zurich, as well as at China’s Peking University, Tsinghua, Renmin, Fudan and JiaoTong University, plus India’s IITs IIMs and ISB over the past 20 years.
Today, Martin Haemmig works with corporates that go through their ‘Digital Transformation’ phase and need to embrace innovation more radically in conjunction with speedy and creative startups and combine this by setting up a Corporate Venturing/CVC unit. In addition, he invests, then nurtures and helps globalize several deep-tech B2B companies. Furthermore, as a thought-leader on VC & CVC, he is a frequent keynote speaker at leading conferences in the United States, Europe, Israel and Asia.
Martin Haemmig earned his electronics degree in Switzerland, his MBA and doctorate in California and is a graduate from the Board Management School at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. He worked for 20 years in global high-tech companies around the world and obtained the Swiss National Marketing Champion award in 1994, before returning to academia from 2000 to 2018.
