Raphaël is the Head of Equity Risk Management at the European Investment Fund, the specialist provider of risk finance to benefit small and medium-sized enterprises across Europe by helping them to access finance thanks to a variety of innovative financial products. The European Investment Fund is also a leading financial institution in the European Private Equity market, playing a crucial role in the creation and development of high-growth and innovative SMEs by facilitating access to equity for these companies across the entire life cycle of corporate innovation. Raphaël joined the European Investment Fund in 2010 and previously led the Guarantee & Microfinance Risk Management Unit, focussing on the development of various inclusive finance mandates and inclusive finance products, such as microfinance loans, microfinance guarantees and direct & indirect capacity building equity investments.
Raphaël is a guest lecturer at the University of Louvain / Louvain School of Management (Belgium). He holds a Master in Management from the University of Liège and is an alumni of the Social Impact – Creating Shared Value Programme from Harvard Business School.
