Bronwyn Bailey
Managing Director at First Republic Bank


Bronwyn Bailey is Managing Director at First Republic Bank, where she works with private equity and venture capital firms on their financing needs for their funds and partners. She also launched and contributes to First Republic’s Private Equity Quarterly, a publication providing insights about private equity investing.

Prior to joining First Republic Bank, Bronwyn led industry outreach at the American Investment Council (AIC), the private equity trade association in Washington DC. She produced original analysis about pension fund returns, developed educational ESG Seminars, spoke widely about industry best practices, and coordinated forums for private equity CFOs and investor relations professionals.

Bronwyn got her start in private capital at SVB Capital, the investment division of Silicon Valley Bank. Here, she updated investors on their venture investments, wrote quarterly articles to help clients navigate market shifts, and monitored a $1B fund portfolio. She also led an analytics team at BlackRock’s iShares to optimize marketing and sales of ETFs. Bronwyn began her career as a management consultant at Gemini Consulting in London and continued at InteCap and PwC in Los Angeles. For 6+ years, she advised global telecom, media, and technology clients on international expansion, pricing strategy, and financial forecasting.

Bronwyn has published articles in The New York Times and Pensions & Investments and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. She graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University and earned a doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is a CAIA charter holder.
