Min is CEO and co-founder of CM Venture Capital, a venture capital company investing in world-class innovations in “hard technologies” including new materials, advanced manufacturing, new energy and environment. CM Venture’s venture capital funds are backed by leading multinational companies in materials and industrial, including GE, Samsung, BASF, SABIC, Petronas, British American Tobacco and others. Since founding in 2010, CM Venture Capital has also advised many multinational companies on open innovation and China strategy.
Min has nearly twenty years of venture capital experience globally in the hard-tech space – she worked for Unilever Technology Ventures and SVB Capital in Silicon Valley before founding CM Venture Capital. Her investment portfolio includes Impinj (NASDAQ: PI), Zipline Medical (acquired by Stryker), Guofu Hydrogen, Global Power Technologies, Crowntech, Beaver bio-nanotechnology and others.
Min has a science background. After earning a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering at University of Southern California, Min worked for six years at Rockwell Scientific (now Teledyne) in R&D and technology commercialization. Min spoke and wrote about being a woman-scientist in the VC world, and speaks frequently about venture capital in hard technologies.
