Woojin Choi is a highly motivated airport professional and project development and operations manager with a Master in aerospace business administration. He has been engaged in various roles for large scale airport and mixed-use projects throughout a project lifecycle as a client, development and project manager, business development manager, business planning consultant and terminal operations manager for last 21 years.
By 2016, He worked as a key member of early planning and project development team for Samsung C&T to develop overseas airport and vertical asset EPC projects, manage client relationship and tender process. He was a core member of program development team for a large scale Program Management team (Owner’s Representatives) for multi-billion dollar mixed use development in Dubai, UAE. Recently, he has founded an aviation research organization in Korea and provides professional research and consulting services both to public and private sector project stakeholders.
He undertook various project/program management roles at Incheon International Airport Corporation as a planning, design, procurement, delivery, interface and operations manager for 10 years for a passenger terminal complex and other major infrastructure facilities; worked with global PMC firms and consultants as a part of PMO or PMC team, and then headed an airport BOT project in Cambodia as a development manager
He has been active in the aviation industry to provide business consulting services to airport stakeholders;
With a focus on expansion of airport capacity and business portfolio, multi-airport system, innovative turn-around process, airport city development plan and financial feasibility study for CAPEX projects, etc.
He has also been actively participated in global aviation conferences and exhibitions as a panel, speaker and exhibitor so that he keeps expanding industrial networks and up to date with market trends.
