Carmen is a VC turned angel. Up until very recently, Carmen was a Partner at Series A fund Blossom Capital, focusing on consumer, commerce enablers and marketplaces. She’s now founded Cocoa to invest $100-$200k angel checks in the Round #1 of European founders.

Carmen was the first investor in Hopin, the fastest European company to ever become a unicorn - she’s credited with having syndicated 100% of the pre-seed round in summer 2019 and bringing in the lead for seed round.

Carmen is also a Founding Partner at The Fund London, a community of some of Europe’s most successful founders and operators investing into European pre-seed companies.

When investing, Carmen looks for insane customer love - businesses supported by super engaged customers, with communities that grow organically and where members have a strong sense of belonging beyond the specific product/service. Companies that are almost cults for its users can exist both in B2C and B2B and they are highly scalable and defensible.
