Hristo joined WTW in 2015 and is part of the Strategic Risk Consulting team in London.
He leads on a wide range of climate and natural hazard risk consulting services, including physical climate change risk advisory, catastrophe modelling and risk engineering assessments, for WTW’s global corporate clients.
Hristo has 15 years of industry experience in engineering consultancy, risk management, analytics and engineering design, working closely with numerous organisations in the transportation, retail, manufacturing and construction sectors.
His main areas of expertise include:
- Climate change
- Catastrophe loss modelling
- Civil and earthquake engineering.
Before joining WTW, Hristo worked as a structural engineer for global engineering consultancy Mott MacDonald, specialising in highly technical projects in the power and transport sectors in the U.K., as well as overseas projects, including seismic risk assessments, damage analysis, and bespoke engineering solutions.
Hristo also took part in the design of Crossrail (Elizabeth Line) in London, managing a team of engineers and technicians. He has also carried out analytical and visual evaluations of structural safety and life-span assessments of aging infrastructure for big asset owners, such as National Grid, Network Rail, London Underground and Heathrow Airport.
Hristo’s earlier experience includes delivering structural design for large retail and office buildings in Bulgaria, as well as providing project management support and supervising construction operations.
