MOVE OUT PROCEDURES

  1. The Buildings Show will close at 1PM on Friday. It is imperative that exhibitors do NOT begin packing up booth materials until you hear the show close overhead announcement at 1PM.
  2. There is NO Holding Lot for The Buildings Show move-out. Instead, if you require access to the loading docks, please make a booking on Voyage Control. Vehicles will only be accepted at the truck route entrance for pre-booked Voyage Control time slots. Once your exhibit is packed, ready and you have a Voyage Control time slot, please load your materials as quickly as possible when your vehicle arrives to make room for other exhibitors.
  3. Each exhibitor must adhere to their allocated Voyage Control arrival time slot to load their vehicles which will be monitored by the Security Staff.
  4. All materials being taken through the Service Elevator to the parking garage must be hand carried or on a dolly. Only hand carry or small 2 wheel dollies are allowed in the main foyer entrance. Building materials are not allowed on the escalators. Drivers picking up curbside MUST remain with their vehicles AT ALL TIMES and load immediately or the vehicle will be flagged and towed.
  5. If you need to adjust your move-out on site, login to the Voyage Control system and edit your existing booking to a time that you prefer OR visit the Voyage Control desk (from 11am) at the south end of aisle 1300 to check for an alternate time slot. Vehicles will only be permitted to enter the truck route entrance if the booth is packed up and ready to be loaded. The desk will open as of 11:00am Friday morning.

    * Your Voyage Control move-out code has been sent to you via e-mail from tarah.everett@informa.com.

  6. At show closing Freeman will return storage crates to exhibiting booths. We ask for your co-operation and patience to ensure this happens as quickly as possible.

  7. As per Ontario Ministry of Labour, children under the age of 16 are NOT permitted on the show floor during move-out. Please be reminded that Personal Protective Equipment such as CSA approved safety footwear are required to be worn while all tear down and move out activity is taking place.

  8. If you require assistance with your move-out, please report to the Freeman Show Service Desk. Freight being picked up by an outside carrier cannot be handled by Freeman without a completed Material Handling Agreement which can be picked up at the Freeman Show Service Desk behind booth 2041.

  9. All exhibits must be removed by 9:59PM on Friday, December 1st. Please ensure you have made arrangements with your shipper to remove your goods from the floor before this time. All materials left on the show floor past 9:59PM will be removed by the official carrier (Freeman) at the owner’s expense.

  10. ALL debris and building materials used for your booth must be removed from the site. Failure to do so will result in removal of debris at the exhibitor’s expense.
