FDC1 - Exploiting the use of Formliners and Colour Stains in Precast Concrete
Presented by Nawkaw/US Formliner
Friday, December 1, 10:00 - 10:30am
Aesthetic options for buildings are ever-changing as developers and owners compete to attract tenants and buyers with distinguishing features. A desire for greater differences in aesthetics has grown as designers look to add visual interest, depth and colour to facades. To meet these needs, designers often use texture formliner and colour stains in precast concrete. During the Nawkaw/US Formliner Demonstration, attendees will see and experience how adding colour and using formliner to precast concrete helps to define its form and shape and adds depth and dynamic effects to the space. Colour options are nearly unlimited and can harmonize with the environment, blend with an existing structure, or make bold, artistic statements. Innovative formliner application techniques can transform precast concrete finishes, mirroring the looks of wood, stone, brick, and many more. Participants will experience first-hand how colour stains and formliners can drastically change the appearance of the concrete.
