Anna Pratsinis, Ph.D.Scientist Drug Delivery and Preformulation Science at Roche Innovation Center Basel
Anna Pratsinis is a Pharmaceutical Scientist by training. After her undergraduate studies at ETH Zurich, she joined the Novartis Institute of Biomedical Research as a Scientific Associate, where she supported the bioanalytical characterization of novel therapeutic proteins. She then returned to ETH to pursue a PhD in Drug Formulation and Delivery with Prof. Jean-Christophe Leroux, developing novel, liposomal and enzyme-based formulations to extend the functionality of peritoneal dialysis formulations. In this time, she also contributed to the development of a nanoparticle-based bioanalyte sensor. During her Postdoctoral research at the University of Basel in Pharmaceutical Technology she explored the feasibility of targeted enzyme delivery, while also investigating different drug delivery strategies. In early 2020, she joined the pharmaceutical Research and Early Development (pRED) unit of Roche in Basel as a Drug Delivery Scientist, working on the development of novel formulations for targeted and sustained drug delivery, with a focus on the preclinical development of nucleic acid based medicines.
