Profile
Jan Münch studied biology at the FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg (Diploma 1998) and received his PhD in 2002. Between 2002-2010 he worked as PostDoc and Junior Professor at the Institute of Virology at the Ulm University. In 2010 he was appointed as full professor and in 2017 as Director of the Institute of Molecular Virology at Ulm University. He is interested in emerging viruses and the identification and optimization of endogenous peptide inhibitors of viral and bacterial infections. He received several honors and awards and authored more than 100 research articles.
