Ian Villamagna, PhD

Senior Field Application Scientist at Precision NanoSystems

Ian Villamagna currently serves as a Senior Field Application Scientist for Precision NanoSystems, covering the Northwestern United States and Western Canada. In his role, he forms active partnerships with customers and works to drive the development of genomic medicines from early preclinical testing through clinical manufacturing. Ian obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Western Ontario, where he was responsible for the development of multiple nanoparticle drug delivery formulations for the treatment of osteoarthritis. He has extensive experience in the nanomedicine development process, from formulation of new materials leading large animal trials. He has a broad educational background, combining training in basic sciences such as biology and chemistry as well as applied sciences such as animal and human physiology and engineering.
