Dr. Kun Cheng is a Curators’ Distinguished Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Pharmacy. Dr. Cheng has a diverse range of research experiences in phage display, peptide drug, drug delivery, nanotechnology, and cancer immunotherapy. His research focuses on the development of novel therapeutics for breast cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, and liver fibrosis. One of his major research interests is to use phage display to discover peptides that can be used as therapeutic agents or targeting ligands for drug delivery and tumor diagnosis. He was recently inducted as an AAPS Fellow in 2020 and an American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) Fellow in 2021.
