Rasika Phansalkar, Ph.D.

Senior Scientist, Analytical Development at Biogen

Rasika Phansalkar, is currently working at Biogen Inc. as a Sr. Scientist in the ASO Analytical Development team and serves as the Analytical CMC lead on multiple early and late phase Anti-sense Oligonucleotide programs. She also serves as a subject matter expert on the application of NMR and LC-MS technology for small molecule and oligonucleotide structure elucidation.

Rasika earned her PhD in Pharmacognosy from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2017 with expertise in natural product analyses and NMR structure elucidation. Later, her post-doctoral work at the Institute of Tuberculosis research at UIC focused on preparative separation and LC-MS analysis of anti-TB active cyclic peptides and isolation of secondary metabolites from Actinomycete sp.
