Eliana WahnonSenior Director, Consumer & Market Intelligence at General Mills
Eliana currently leads all the Central Capabilities Teams for the Consumer & Market Intelligence function. She has oversight of multiple expert teams including, Decision Sciences, Consumer Analytics, Foresights, Consumer Frameworks, Modern Research and CMI Mumbai.
Over the last 2 years she has led the Consumer & Market Intelligence Function Agile Transformation efforts. This includes advancing automation efforts to democratize knowledge, insights and analytics, developing future-casting capabilities and processes, and re-imaging data & analytics activation to drive better precision marketing.
Across her 14 year tenure at General Mills, she has held a number of positions across different busines teams leading the Consumer & Market Intelligence function including: Meals & Baking, Global Dairy SBU (Yogurt & Häagen Dazs), Grain Snacks, Totinos, Mexican & Pillsbury. Eliana is a passionate advocate of diversity and inclusion for both our employees and our consumers. She led the Multicultural Insights team and was the President of General Mills Hispanic Network, La Familia, in 2012.
Prior to General Mills, she was a Commercial Director at CCR Intl where she led behavioral, quantitative and qualitative research services in Latin America. Prior to that, she worked 6 years for Deloitte Consulting and Arthur Andersen, on supply chain transformations and strategy consulting projects across different countries in Latin America including Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Mexico and Brazil.
Eliana received a Bachelor of Science degree in Production Engineering from Universidad Simon Bolivar, and a MBA from Rice University.
Eliana was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela and is a proud LATINA Mom to Eduardo Ignacio and Diana Elena. She lives with her husband Eduardo, in Eden Prairie, MN and true to her latina roots, loves dancing and entertaining family and friends.
