Masako Hikota is currently Regional Tax Advisor for IBM providing optimal tax solutions to business. Previously she was Head of Taxes and Transfer Pricing for IBM Japan, managing tax compliance, tax controls and tax audits. Prior to joining IBM, she was Head of Global Tax Planning, Rakuten, Inc. She has considerable experience in developing solutions to a wide range of complex international tax issues and in the practical planning and implementation of new businesses in Asia, Europe, Americas and rest of the world.
