Marco ElizaldePartner, Global Transfer Pricing Services at KPMG Cárdenas
Marco is Partner of KPMG Mexico’s Transfer Pricing Practice based in the Guadalajara Office. He has worked for more than 22 years in transfer pricing and international tax services. He joined KPMG in 2014, having worked before in other Big4 Firms.
Marco is an economist graduated from Monterrey Tech and has several degrees in Finance, International Tax and Foreign Trade.
Professional and industry experience
Marco has achieved experience in various industries and developed complex analysis for companies engaged in industry sectors, such as automotive, technology, electronic, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, retail, utilities, among others. Marco has participated in negotiations with the tax authorities in the matter of Advanced Pricing Agreements, Audits and Mutual Agreement Procedures, particularly in the Maquiladora sector, and also has participated as transfer pricing expert in Mexican court cases. His professional work has been focused mainly in global documentation, business structuring, intangible property management and value chain analysis.
In 2017, Marco obtained a Transfer Pricing Expert Certification (No. FCERM-PT-072-2017) issued by the National Federation of Economists Colleges. Marco is an active participant in several Transfer Pricing Committees organized by the College of Public Accountants of Guadalajara and the International Fiscal Association (Guadalajara Chapter).
Publications and speaking engagements
Marco has published articles on Puntos Finos Magazine, related to Cost Sharing Agreements and Intragroup Management Services. In addition, he has been invited in several occasions to participate as an speaker in events organized by the College of Public Accountants of Guadalajara and the International Fiscal Association (México).
