Profile
Nhuri Bashir (Haqq) is a multidisciplinary artist and creative director from Bermuda whose work explores the intersection of culture, memory, and environment. Blending photography, mixed media, and public art, his practice draws on personal and collective histories to build visual narratives that resonate across geographies.
As co-founder of Burnt House Productions, Bashir has led high-profile campaigns for global luxury brands while maintaining a strong commitment to cultural storytelling within the Caribbean and island communities. His art has been featured on billboards in New York City through partnerships with Travel + Leisure and Bermuda Tourism, and he is a lead organizer of Bermuda Walls, a large-scale mural festival that brings international and local artists together in collaborative exchange.
Deeply influenced by analog photography, urban textures, and island life, Bashir’s pieces often layer archival techniques with modern aesthetics, creating work that is both contemporary and rooted in tradition. Whether through his fine art, architectural photography, or large-scale public installations, he seeks to forge spaces where memory, identity, and beauty meet.
Nhuri’s latest projects continue to blur the lines between art, community, and environmental storytelling, inviting audiences to rethink the ways we connect with place and culture.
