Gretchen is currently part of the Ethics, Risk and Compliance team at Novartis, with primary responsibilities in the areas of Healthcare Risk Management, including providing counsel, to the company’s senior executives, on Enterprise Risk identification and external Third Party Risk management.
Prior to joining Novartis in 2019, Gretchen served in a Compliance Officer role and led the Global Compliance Operations program for a leading medtech-life sciences company.
From 2008-2019, Gretchen served as an active member of several professional industry associations, including Medtech Canada and AdvaMed, in the U.S. As an original active member of the AdvaMed Sunshine Transparency working group, Gretchen also helped establish industry best practices in implementing and managing state and Federal aggregate spend programs.
Among other industry working group participation, Gretchen is most proud of the work completed, together with her AdvaMed industry cohorts, in the redrafting of the new 2020 AdvaMed Code of Ethics on Interactions with U.S. Health Care Professionals.
