Robert Childs
Head of International at Prescient Fund Services (Ireland)


Rob joined Prescient in October 2017 as Head of International for Prescient Fund Services (Ireland) Limited (PFSI). His responsibilities include strategic business development, marketing, sales and relationship management for the international business, which encompasses Irish regulated Super ManCo (AIFMD and UCITS Management Company) services, fund platform solutions, traditional long-only, hedge fund, private equity and real estate fund administration (Irish and Offshore), Irish tax transparent fund services and Prescient's fund distribution solutions.

With twenty-five years’ experience in financial services, he has worked across multiple functions and asset classes. Starting his career at Goldman Sachs in Global Operations, Rob later worked for Deutsche Bank in Exchange-Traded Derivatives, Barclays Capital in OTC Derivatives Prime Brokerage and Wells Fargo in Global Fund Services, where he was head of European Business Development and Client Relations within the Institutional Investor Services group. He has also worked for a small number of independent companies and as a management consultant to banks and investment managers. His clients have included financial institutions, corporates and traditional and alternative investment funds based in Europe, USA and Asia.

Rob graduated with an Executive MBA from London Business School in 2003, where he was awarded a distinction for his dissertation on European Prime Brokerage. He also holds a BA Honours and a Diplom-Betriebswirt (FH) in European Business Administration from Middlesex University in the UK and Reutlingen University in Germany.

PFSI is authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland as a UCITS Management Company and as an Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM), collectively known as a “Super Manco”. PFSI is also authorised as a Fund Administrator for Irish regulated and offshore funds.
