James is an Associate Director in Frontier’s competition practice. He has advised dozens clients facing competition investigations into mergers, alleged abuses of dominance, horizontal agreements and vertical restraints, as well as follow-on damages litigation. James is based in London and also regularly supports clients facing competition investigations in Brussels.
James has advised clients across a wide range sectors, but has particular experience in the application of competition law to the wholesale financial sector. In recent years he has managed Frontier teams advising number of leading global financial service providers including Willis Towers Watson, Lloyd’s of London, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan Chase. Most recently, James advised the London Stock Exchange Group during the European Commission’s investigation into its proposed acquisition of Refinitiv, which was conditionally cleared in January.
