Irina Tiper, PhDBiologist at U.S. Food and Drug Administration
Dr. Tiper completed her PhD in Molecular Medicine at the University of Maryland, where she specialized in tumor immunology. She then completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where she investigated application of novel bloodborne pathogen screening methods and antigenic drift in Ebola. She transitioned to regulatory work first as a Staff Fellow in the Office of Tissues and Advanced Therapies at the Center of Biologics Evaluation and Research (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) and then as a Biologist in the same office. Her review work is focused on immunotherapy, regenerative medicine, devices, and xenotransplanation.
