Europe Representative at UNICA, the Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association.


Emily Rees is Europe Representative for UNICA, the Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association. She comes from a career of trade diplomacy, having led the relations of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Agency (Apex-Brasil) with the European Union. Prior to this, Ms Rees, served as Trade Attaché of France to Brazil where she coordinated economic activities of the Year of France in Brazil. With a focus on public-private partnerships, she was responsible for economic relations with the National Congress. 

A British and French citizen, Ms Rees is fluent in Portuguese and has been working closely on Brazilian trade policy for over a decade. A graduate in Economics, she holds a Master of Science in International Relations from the University of Bristol (UK) and is a regular guest lecturer in international trade and agriculture.
