In his 30 executive career in biofuels and agricultural commodities Soren H. Jensen was amongst others responsible for all commercial activities and international expansion of the ethanol and sugar activities of Copersucar S.A., based in São Paulo. He then went on to act as COO of the largest sugar trading company, Alvean, in Geneva, at that time a JV between Cargill and Copersucar S.A.
An economist of schooling, he started out in trading and over time managed several worldwide trading, risk management, analyst and sales teams. Being passionate about studying business models gradually took the focus more towards strategy for local and international companies inserted into the biofuels and agricultural supply chain. More recently he has dedicated time academically to add the modern governance aspect in depth to these discussions.
Today Soren divides his time between strategic advisory to companies worldwide, and acts as board and committee member.
