Teachers In UAE

Teachers In UAE was established in Belfast in 2010 by Ruth Harron, who personally has over 25 years of experience in the UAE. Teachers In UAE has placed high volumes of teachers from N.Ireland and other countries into National and International schools in The UAE. Ruth is able to offer a first-hand account of living and working as a teacher in the UAE.

The Youth Program

Teachers In UAE have devised and trademarked a new International program called:

The TAYT UAE program creates pathways into Teaching in The UAE. This program will ‘Support National Youth’ and will encompass Undergraduate level, Post Graduate Level, PhD and leadership (train the trainer) in The UAE and will create continuity in teaching and training. It is important that the national youth see teaching as an important career and to invest in the future of education in their country, The UAE. It is important that National youth create a self-sustaining education system currently dominated with Ex-patriates.

Benefits to Emirati Undergraduates and Graduates:

Emirati undergraduates and graduates will gain valuable skills, knowledge, and work experience working with other cultures including undergraduates and graduates from N-Ireland, team teaching with international teachers, improving their English Language skills, and gaining other transferable skills.

The focus will be on STEM subject teaching, in great need in National schools in The UAE. National youth on this program can gain up to Masters in Teaching which will be accredited by Queen’s University Belfast, a prestigious Russell Group University, 1 of 24 world-class research-intensive universities.

After the Undergraduate stage, further qualifications are more flexible with remote teaching to allow nationals to be placed back in their home schools to start applying their knowledge and skills.

Emiratis are offered the chance to come to N-Ireland for their undergraduate training, gain a bachelor in education, and do their teaching placements in top grammar schools throughout their time on the TAYT Program. Halls of residence offer private accommodation with cultural awareness.
