Mr. Ismail Rasheed is a transformative leader in the telecommunications industry, renowned for driving innovation and steering Dhiraagu’s evolution into the Maldives’ premier digital service provider. With over 3 decades of experience, he has played a crucial role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and operational excellence.

Under his leadership, Dhiraagu transformed from an infrastructure-focused business to a competitive digital service provider. He is responsible for many key development projects that shaped the telecommunications landscape of the country.

Appointed CEO & MD in 2015 and serving on the Board since then, Ismail previously led Dhiraagu as Chief Executive from 2007–2015, following earlier leadership roles in network planning and operations. Ismail is known for his strategic foresight, developing growth strategies, building resilience, nurturing talent, and accelerating innovation.

He holds an MBA from the University of Reading and a BEng (Hons) in Telecommunications Systems Management & Design, and is a member of the UK’s Institute of Engineering & Technology.
