Marta-Gaia Zanchi is the founder and managing partner of Nina Capital, an international Venture Capital firm specializing in healthcare technology investments at the pre-seed and seed stages. Dr. Zanchi has a technical and academic background, specifically in medical systems development and health technology innovation. She is a Ph.D. alumna of Stanford University's Electrical Engineering Department, where she developed novel technologies in medical imaging, and was later an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine and Founding Director of the Biodesign for Digital Health program at the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign, dedicated to advancing health outcomes and equity through innovation education, new venture and technology translation, and policy. She is also a former entrepreneur, having applied expertise as a medical technology founder and executive in the private sector (including a company now listed in the NASDAQ), and a former equity partner at deep-tech focused Venture Capital firm DCVC. She left Silicon Valley in 2019 to launch Nina Capital in Europe, positioning her firm to grow into an internationally recognized leader and most active investor at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and venture.
