Brian has served as SVP, Mortgage Valuation & Market Risk Officer since 2021, where he is responsible for the market risk and valuation profile oversight of the mortgage fair value assets, primarily the MSRs. Prior to that he served in various Mortgage Valuation Oversight (or IPV) roles at Truist since 2011, where he was responsible for the independent oversight of the accuracy and consistency of the modeling and reporting of valuations, performance, and exposures related to the mortgage assets, primarily the MSRs. Prior to joining Truist, going back to 2003, Brian worked on the MSR Valuation team at Citigroup, at a time when Citi was actively acquiring servicing businesses and bulk pools. Brian started his career learning the also esoteric valuation techniques of privately held businesses at big 5 accounting firms for 4 years. Brian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Saint Louis University.
