Shujaat Ali is a partner in Dentons' Capital Markets practice. He handles complex, fast-paced negotiations on a wide range of secondary market transactions involving residential mortgage loans, business purpose loans, home equity investments, agency and private-label mortgage servicing rights, excess servicing spread, and other consumer related loans and assets. His experience encompasses whole loan purchase and sales, including new origination, GNMA early buyout loans (EBO), performing and non-performing; servicing transfers, including bulk, flow and co-issue; servicing agreements and other complex vendor agreements unique to mortgage originators and servicers. Shujaat also counsels clients regarding legacy portfolios and has experience with loans owned by private investors as well as those owned by government-sponsored enterprises.
