Siri Nilsson
Associate Director, Officer at Technology Transfer, Boston College
Speaker

Profile

Siri Nilsson joined the Boston College Office of Technology Transfer and Licensing in 2020. As Associate Director, she acts as the primary liaison between university leadership, faculty, and industry partners to expand research and commercialization opportunities. She is currently spearheading the launch of a university office for holistic corporate engagement and serves as an institutional expert on the intersection of IP protections, policies, and entrepreneurship.

Prior to Boston College, Siri spent several years at MIT’s Technology Licensing Office, where she supported a biotechnology and medical device portfolio before transitioning to a specialized focus on complex contracting and institutional IP policy. Her career path—including experience at ABC News and Genzyme—enables her to bridge the gap between technical research and commercial frameworks, untangling the typical roadblocks of academic-industry partnerships to unlock their full potential.
